Planning is underway for the 2017 Priddis Greens Charity Classic and we want to ensure you have an opportunity to put it on your calendar and to register early. For returning supporters and new entrants alike, this is a great golf experience that supports a unique organization, Calgary's Prostate Cancer Centre. The Centre is known nationally and internationally for its innovative research and support programs for men and their families faced with Prostate Cancer.
The tournament was inaugurated by the late Bill Beattie in 1999 and it has grown over the years into the premier charity event in Calgary. Bill's legacy lives on as we have raised more than $5 million over the years for the Prostate Cancer Centre, including $325,000 in 2016.
The golf is hosted on two of Canada's finest courses at Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club.
We begin with a Gala Evening, where socializing with friends, old and new, is the theme. There will also be live and silent auction items to tempt you, including a special auction table for the ladies. Teams and players can also register that evening and pick up their tee gifts, so they are ready to play golf the following two days.
Tuesday, August 15: Gala Evening & Registration at the Clubhouse (6 pm)
Wednesday, August 16: Golf competition (8:30 am shotgun)
Thursday, August 17: Golf competition (8:30 am shotgun)
Calgary's Prostate Cancer Centre receives no government funding, Calgary's Prostate Cancer Centre relies solely on the generosity of our local communities and events like the Priddis Greens Charity Classic. Team entry fees pay tournament operating costs with all donations and additional funds raised going to the Prostate Cancer Centre.
If you are looking for an opportunity to entertain your best clients in a first-class atmosphere, or want to put together a team of friends and business associates to enjoy their company and the challenge of golf while contributing to a worthwhile cause, look no further.
The eighteenth annual Priddis Greens Charity Classic was a major success. The weather was average this year but, the Hawk and Raven golf courses were in immaculate condition, the volunteers ensured everyone enjoyed themselves, the food and drink was terrific - what could make it any better? The fact that our donors, sponsors and players contributed to the silent and live auctions as well as making direct donations, resulting in the event contributing $325,000 to the Prostate Cancer Centre of Calgary in these challenging economic times.
